The Physics Institute of the Department of Physics and Astronomy of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at the University of Bonn announces an immediate opening for a full professor position
Professorship (W3) in Theoretical particle physics.Candidates should have an outstanding research profile in theoretical elementary particle physics. The focus should be on physics beyond the Standard Model, with connection to observable phenomena. The candidate‘s research should expand and complement the work done by the established groups in our department. Possible areas of research include the hierarchy problem, physics of the early universe, and the quantization of gravity. We expect the successful candidate to join the Bethe Center for Theoretical Physics.
Teaching according to state regulation is an essential part of this position. Accordingly, teaching at all levels is expected.
