The Institute for Theoretical and Mathematical Physics (ITMP) of the M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) invites applications for Postdoctoral Positions in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics starting in October 2020.

The Institute for Theoretical and Mathematical Physics is a new division of the M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University founded in December 2018. The aim of the Institute is to advance high-level research and education in fundamental areas of theoretical and mathematical physics. At present the activity of the Institute is focused in the following areas: mathematical physics, quantum field theory, theoretical particle physics, conformal field theory and holography, string theory, gravity and cosmology. Applicants should have PhD in theoretical or mathematical physics awarded before October 2020. They are expected to interact with members of the ITMP research group, members of the scientific council and other researchers associated with ITMP, supervise students, participate in research seminars, etc. The salary will be in the range of 130-160 thousand roubles (1800-2200 Euro) per month (after tax). Funding for research related expenses of 200-300 thousand roubles per year will be also available. ITMP provides relocation allowance, health insurance and administrative support. The position is offered for two years with possible extension for one more year. The application deadline is February 10, 2020.
